  1. Hi There,

Hope all is well, big fan of what you do! Just wondering if you ever create Ultra (button lock) versions of Yojimbo 2? Would that be possible and how much would it be? Many thanks!

    E

    1. Hey,

There is no space on the handle for the button as the blade comes up too high when closed. So if there was a button there, the blade would hit it when closed.

  2. Hello there my name is Tamas Janta, and I’m interested in customizing my Buck 417 Budgie Knife. Iam wondering if it’s possible to customize the backplate of this knife to something similar you posted on IG on June 30th. The Spyderco McBee with HV blue and purple tribal pattern. And also the screws to be the same blue color. Please let me know if that is possible and how much would that be, thank you very much.

  3. Any plans on customizing the new ZT 0545…thanks

    1. Yup…just did 4 variations: Dirty Bronze, Beadblast Blue, Grey, and Teal w/titanium screws

  4. Will the PM2 Ultra scales work with custom bladed PM2? I can send you a drawing of the blade and how it sits in the handle.

    1. Yes, but if it’s a right hand PM2 the knife will end up being the Ultra Ambi.

  5. Hi Steve,
Have you tried a ‘ultra-ambi’ Kapara? Possible?
I would love to see one in OD green micarta and bronze hardware.
    Thoughts? Thanks

    1. Not yet. I am not sure with the size of the scales if there is room in there for the button without the blade contacting it when closed.

  6. I was curious if there were limits on the size / brands you work with for scale work. I recently got a Midgard Messer Big Boss knife, and love it but feel the handle looks a little plain.

It has quite the large handle dimensions at 6.8 inches, but figured I would check if this is something you could work with as you have several designs I think would look sweet on it.

    1. No not really.
